FootagehouseHD Search Tips

FootagehouseHD Search allows you to perform a Boolean or an exact match search for one or more words in the pages in the selected search area. Only the FootagehouseHD site is searched.

Boolean Search
If the "Boolean" radio button is selected (default), FootagehouseHD Search only returns pages that include all of your search terms. There is no need to include 'and' between terms. You can use the words 'and' or 'or' in your search line as Boolean operators. When no operator is specified, 'and' is assumed.

For example, the search words:

   footage airplane

will produce the same results as:

footage and airplane

You can use any combination of and/or operators. For example:

   footage and airplane or flight
or

footage or airplane or flight or jet

Note: The conditions are always evaluated from left to right. Brackets and quoted words are not supported.

Exact match
If the "Exact Match" radio button is selected, all the and/or operators are ignored and pages are searched for the exact string specified. For example the string

   footage or airplane

will initiate a search for the exact string "footage or airplane" and not for the words 'footage' or 'airplane'.

Capitalization
FootagehouseHD searches are NOT case sensitive. All letters, regardless of how you type them, will be treated as lower case. For example, searches for "george washington", "George Washington", and "gEoRgE wAsHiNgToN" will all return the same results.
